UNDERSTANDING DRAW SYSTEMS
Preference Points
Your points guarantee you'll draw before anyone with fewer points. Used in Colorado (standard species).
Bonus Points
Points increase your odds but don't guarantee a draw. Used in Arizona and Nevada.
Squared Bonus
Entries = points² + 1. Creates exponential advantage for high-point holders. Used in Nevada and Montana (limited entry).
Pure Random
No points - everyone has equal odds. Used in New Mexico. Great for first-time applicants!
